Spring Washers

Besides being flexible, spring washers resist vibrations that might cause the fastener to loosen.

It is worth noting that this particular type has a split in it, which, when tightened, bites into each side of the nut and the mounting surface, making it impossible to rotate anticlockwise. This split design prevents the nut from loosening over time, ensuring a secure fit.

As well as reducing ‘play’ in assemblies, they eliminate end play or rattles, as well as allowing for expansion and contraction of the materials.
