Baffle Plates for Fire Sprinkler Systems

Our Baffle Plates are designed for use with suitable fire sprinkler systems.

They are available with 22mm or 26mm diameter holes. These sizes suit 15mm and 20mm sprinkler heads.

The plates have a pre-galvanised finish. In addition, two plate sizes are available to suit different requirements.

What Are Baffle Plates Used For?

Baffle Plates form part of certain sprinkler installations.

They provide a steel barrier around the sprinkler head. As a result, they can help shield the heat-sensitive element from water released by nearby sprinklers.

They can also help protect against water running down from higher levels. Therefore, baffles can be useful in multi-level sprinkler arrangements.

Baffle Plate Sizes

We offer two standard plate sizes.

83mm Baffle Plate

The smaller plate measures 83mm and weighs approximately 0.0280kg.

300mm Baffle Plate

The larger plate measures 300mm and weighs approximately 0.07655kg.

Hole sizes of 22mm and 26mm are available. Therefore, options are available for 15mm and 20mm sprinkler heads.

Pre-Galvanised Finish

Our Baffle Plates have a pre-galvanised finish.

This provides a protective zinc coating to the steel. As a result, the finish helps protect the surface against corrosion.

The pre-galvanised material is supplied to BS EN 10346:2015.

Use with Sprinkler Guards

Baffle Plates can also form part of an installation using sprinkler guards.

A sprinkler guard provides physical protection around a suitable sprinkler head. Meanwhile, the baffle plate performs a different function within the sprinkler arrangement.

We also supply Chrome Sprinkler Guards with Baffle where both components are required.
